This came down years back so I finally started to clean this area up, if all goes well this area should be cleaned up by Friday.
This is near our house so I'll have the truck and trailer close to the area the dead pine is in, I might have to make two trailer loads to the dump. I think our trailer is 5 x 12 or 5 x 10. My guess would be about 1/3 of a cord was bucked up.
Looks like a lot of sweat work. Any particular reason for not just leaving it to rot as it normally would? Kids? Recreation area? I've had huge piles of brush and stomps pushed aside from when I had a garden several years ago. Today, there is no evidence of those piles ever having been there. I'm not fond of burn piles esp. So near the woods. My son had one out in the clearing that he burned off late in the winter. He turned the area into a disc golf game place.
A bunch of this Pine is loaded up and ready to go to the wood dump, we finally have a small trail through this area which made loading this up in the small trail much easier.
I did get a load of this crap to the towns wood dump before the rains hit this morning. On the way back the drivers side signal light (rear) went but I had one extra bulb in the garage so I changed that. Next on the list is cleaning the grill (just the pan underneath) so we can cook some chicken breast on it tonight, I'll be having a nice hot tomato salad with it. Gasifier , I hit 215.5 this morning from 232.5 in February, about 7.5 more pounds to lose before that pizza from Sergi's.
I had some nice pizza and medium wings from Chick's here in O'burg. Prolly why I'm hovering at 187 right now. 12 more pounds to lose. Took the afternoon off today. Doing some cleaning. A little strength training. And going walking and running today sometime when it's not raining. (And my tuna melts and tomato soup for lunch have digested! I mean )
Tomorrow I'll see how good these topped off trees are and the semi uprooted small Sugar Maple, I also want to finish cleaning up the rotten Pine.
Starting on Tuesday, we're in for a nice stretch of weather. It's 61 out with 99 % humidity today so the garden is loving this.
We have a good steady rain that started about twenty minutes ago so the clean up of the rotten pine area will be pushed back until it stops.
It missed us this morning. But it has been a good week for the new grass seed. It is up, and doing well!
