WW.. I have a stray kitten I'll send you... FREE. He's a little stand-offish but I'm sure he will warm up to you soon.

Evidently I threw the ball too much Friday evening. Weird because he usually just quits when he is tired. I didnt force him to play. He is slow going up the stairs and even slower to jump in bed.

What can I give him as an anti inflammatory? He's acting like he's strained a front shoulder muscle.

Up here vets usually prescribe Medi-cam but I think it is too hard on their digestive systems. Let him lay around and rest for a day or two and see how his recovery goes. For humans isn't it ice on for 10 mins and off for sprains?

Aspirin is OK for dogs, I don't remember the dosage. NO, acetaminophen, ibuprofen etc not OK.

Thanks. Vet confirmation of this. He's on 81mg of it every 8 hrs which according to the www, is about 1/5 of the max dose. Vet also said he could have did something to his back and just need a simple chiropractic adjustment. After hearing this, I think they are right. I really hope it's nothing permanent.

I watched my last 6 month old lab puppy break her own back in front of me all because I called her. Picked her up as she crawled with her front half, limp back half, and drove 100 mph thru town running red lights. She was never going to walk again, and I had to make the decision :( Don't want to go thru that again. Ever.

Medacam is very good for that. once a day dosing. prescribed according to weight. My arthritic old dog gets it and does very well. I give it to him half strength.
