Dennis, I like the new designs. I don't remember seeing anything like this at the open house last fall.
Is the franklin style stoves selling? I haven't kept up lately, I'm so far behind on the WS goings on.

Yes, it is selling but I too have not had much contact as of late. I think it's been about 6 weeks since I've talked to Tom or any of the others too.

I wonder how Woodstocks cast iron stoves sales are doing compared to the push both the steel stoves are getting...

Yes, without wings is no problem. Not sure if they've sold any of the tall leg designs yet or not but there was a whole lot more interest in those that I thought there would be.

Those tall stoves are attractive from an operation viewpoint but not so much on appearance.. At least that's my view of them.. The wings with their designs is growing on me though! Seems that WS is trending more toward steel than soapstone.. With the tightness of a welded steel stove I think the emissions will be superior on the welded stoves.. In the future it looks like steel firebox with soapstone playing more of a decorative and heat mass role.. What does everyone think?

Methinks you have it figured out Ray. And if you pay a visit to the factory, you will get the idea quickly. It does not look the same!

Bet you'd both love it for sure! We couldn't be more pleased with ours. The newer steel stoves do look good but still difficult to compare with the soapstone.

Boy, I still can't forget that beer from last fall. That was amazing stuff. Wish I'd brought home a dozen cases or so.

I think it is available only out east. I was considering asking someone at Woodstock to go to that place and get some for us. lol They got it right at Woodstock, VT.

Those are beautiful stoves.. One day I would love to tear our pre-fab fireplace out and put a little stove in our living room/kitchen area :)
