I wouldn't even "unfix" it. If it's ready to go as is, then send it on its way. Eat the cost of the lines. Same with anything else of his you may have in your possession. Anything associated with him, get it off-site now. And make sure you're clear that you are done. If you don't have a use for the trailer sides, I'd throw them at him too. Done.

Hopefully the guilt of getting all his stuff repaired for free will keep him away as effectively as your requests for payment. You've asked for what? Less than $100? This guy needs to get real.

Have to see how many times he calls or comes by today..

If he doesnt pay up for the weedeater, theres no way im just going to give him the parts i replaced.
Those will come off and go right into my parts bin.
Same for the wood sides for his trailer.
This trailer he uses, he uses everyday.. makes money with it.
So after all of this, im not going to just give him the sides that i spent my own time on to build
just so he can go make potentially more money.

How about calling the 5-0 and get a restraining order for harassment?

There's money to be made in landscaping and tree removals too. And he's getting paid for the work you're doing for him. If there's so much money in it, then it shouldn't be a problem for him to take the firewood if you don't want it or don't have the time.

I can think of one way to get your money... "Sure, I'll be right over to clean it up and pick up the check..." :salute:

He's running his business like a schmuck - I'm sure the "24 hour deadline" is coming from the customer. They're probably angry he left it and refusing to pay unless he cleans it up. And then he calls you. If he isn't equipped to do the job himself, he shouldn't be bidding it.

It sounds to me like you're just being "too nice" to this guy, and he's happy to take advantage of that. If you don't want anything to do with him anymore, I'd just tell him where the bear goes in the buckwheat and that if he shows up on your property again, he will be tresspassing and you will have to call the police or worse.

^THIS!^ You have the upper hand here. You don't owe him anything and you have 2 things he wants and needs to pay for. Don't hand them over until you have cash (or a trade you're happy with) in your hand. Hold onto that weed trimmer until he's paid for the work for that and the trailer sides. If he doesn't, tell him you're keeping the weed trimmer as payment for both.

Ignoring phone calls doesn't always give out the hint that you're hoping it does. Answer the phone and be frank with the guy.

Time to learn the power of the word "no". Don't elaborate...just say "no" and leave it at that.

Will you pick up this tree? - No
Will you fix my _____? - No
    Will you ___________? - No

When, not if, but when he asks why tell him in no uncertain terms what's what. And then finish with "Going forward, these are my terms for any arrangement we may have...."

You have a chit-ton of wood...and wood literally grows on trees. He needs you way more than you need him...make sure he knows that.

Doesn't sound like a whole lot of money, just give him him the chit and be done with him...move on...not worth the time or aggravation.
