What kind of tents do you have?

The wife and I are considering a new tent and she really wants a cabin tent with closets. My only issue is where to find one with closets I can't seem to find any. There are some very nice cabin tents but I would love to surprise her with one that has closets and an electrical port. Personally I'd love to have a camping wood stove because she gets so cold easily but it doesn't look like I can use one unless we spend $600 or more on a canvas tent. Our range is about $250. Any advice?

I think you are going to have to look at a tent trailer for closets, electrical port and a wood stove. Fridge would then be a bonus.

We bought a tent at an auction, Im gonna need to look what kind it is but i was very pleasantly surprised when I opened it up. Its huge, I am 6' tall and i can stand up in it. I think it is like 15' or 16' long too. has a little closet but you couldnt run a stove in it. I set it up in our basement for my little girls sleepover and we put a couch and a love seat in there and they still had room for 6 girls to sleep on the floor in between the two.

    Military tent 17'6" G.P. Small - $300 (Hale)

The peak height is 8' 6" with the eave height of 3'. The length of each side of the tent is 8' 6" long. The floorspace is 198.9 sq. ft. The tent is ventilated by 4 built-in ventilators on opposite sides and near the peak of the tent. A stovepipe opeining is built in one side of the tent near the eave. Comes with telescoping poles and stakes, some ropes need to be replaced. Some small holes here and there, all these tents have them. Was used for deer camp and was plenty of room for four people. Purchased from General Jims in Clare.

No thanks but I appreciate it. It's about time I invest in a tent anyway. Here's a good cheap little tent I think. Corded poles and big enough. We had a 10 man tent from the late 70's when I was a kid. That thing was a pain to put up. That was back before they had corded fiberglass poles.

Not yet. No worries. Looking forward to it.

Back on topic...I think that tent you posted would be good for the get together. Enough room for me and my saws to curl up together. o_O
