    Nice repair on those stairs.

Made me remember I "forgot" to add stair repair to my TODO list.

Spent the entire day aerating wifey's flower beds, weeding the walkways, and digging out her private garden pond garden then replanting with ..... Oh He!! I don't remember what even if I knew. Just a whole bunch of new perennials with the edges lined with annuals.

It was all a thank you gift for letting me go wild at the weekend party with old friends. :drunk:

She will be home in 15 minutes or so and I believe she will be happy.:dancer:

At any rate it was a fine weekend ...... Parade in town with carnival eats while sipping vodka and orange disguised as a slurpy. Big picnic party with lots of BUDdies, annual PoKeNo game under the stars, and platters of pancakes, sausage, ruths eggs, ham, and bacon the following morning.

The final guest left for home this morning.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and took time out to contemplate the sacrifices some were called upon to make.

BUY A POPPY next time one is offered. It is a small price compared to ............

    Well now.

Things are progressing nicely, although slowly.
Got the new flooring heading down the living room wall and still heading Westward Ho.

Getting into a spot now that we are going to be playing a more serious game of musical furniture.

The couch is really in my way, but we can work around it and keep rolling.

We got an 8 pack of those little hockey puck looking things with rubber in the center that allow heavy stuff to move easily on carpet or laminate.

    Here area couple pix.

Looking down the living room wall, and a piccy of my little buddy that,s supervising

Kitty is obviously doing a fine job of supervising as shown by how nice the floor is looking.

    Yesterday saw some fair progress.

Got the last of the HEAVY MOVING done last night.

Called up some muscle for the task.

Had to move my home office counter and the safe

Safe weighs about 600 pounds plus

We got it on 4 of those plastic scooter pucks and then the move was not too bad.

Really pleased with how things are coming along.

As far as the flooring goes, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Today's goal is to get the Pergo laid on the last section of the SW corner of the living room where the little Whitfield Prodigy sits. (Piccy)

Once the wall is painted, then comes the Faux brick HEARTH/ARCH on the wall behind the stove.

A few years back we closed our office/shop in town and scaled things back.
We brought things home and set up our office in this part of the house which added a lot of extra furniture and "JUNK"
This remodel is going to see a couple display cases go AWAY and a lot of other crap with them.

Looking forward to having a less cluttered office area.

Here are some pix taken this morning.

The cat is an exhibitionist I guess, as she always rolls over to show off when the camera comes out.

Will be waaay cool to actually see the stoves in the corners.

As soon as it's a decent hour it is back to thrashing the old carpet out and laying more flooring.

Will update later on today maybe.

Once the flooring is down then comes a lot of painting.

You can see some painted (Pewter color) in some areas as we needed to get paint done to allow some heavy things to be moved only once.

The Old drapes are still hung and will come down when we start painting that area.

The blue double recliner couch will end up in front of the large bay windows when things wind down.

I wish we had a $1 for each pound of dirt/crud that was under that carpet:yes:
