She sure is Eric, but believe me, she really likes standing dead red elms, I've seen her almost melt down the old smoke dragon. She likes it because it makes alot of heat, NOW!!! HAHAHA

What's E="Smokinpiney, post: 507045, member: 46"]I mean I've always known I've had a problem with firewood, trees and saws but the other day it really hit me.

It was sunday, we were at a wedding for one of mrs piney's friends. As we sat there during the ceremony i kept looking at the massive oaks we were sitting under, trying to guess how many cords each tree held.

Before I knew it the ceremony was over, the women were crying and I was still wondering :hair:

    [/QUOTE]
What's your point? I thought you were goint to speak of a problem. I see nothing here but rational thought. Women always cry at weddings.:loco:

Try adding [QUOT after "What" in your post, Ralphie Boy......that will fix it.

Had the fire pit going last night with friends. One of them asked me what kind of tree was in the back yard. I said its a vertical wood pile of oak. They gave me a strange look but, its nice to know that at least you guys can relate. Of coarse......... THEY are the one with the problem. :dex:

Were you wrong about the species, or cord count? I re-read your post twice and I don't quite understand what the problem was?

Surely you're not on a "path to recovery" from your firewood addiction?!?!? :faint: That's crazy talk! :loco:

Thanks for explaining the "vertical wood pile" phenomenon. That means I have dozens of them, mostly of the elm variety.:stacke::thumbs:

No, a friend posted them on my FB page - probably a Pinterest thing.

My first thoughts were, "JD Honey? Yuk!", and "I think that's Doug fir on the right - must be from California or something..." :p

Hey Dex, if you bottle that drool and ship it off to someone that owns a small basement still, could you recoup and call it "14 year old, twice removed, Fire Crotch?"
    Yikes!

Funny, just a few days ago I found a shot glass in the barn. It smelled a bit like cinnamon.... Wonder where that came from?
