    Saw 2 of these listed on CL today, this one and one that looks very similar for twice the price. I wouldn't want it for daily use, but it'd be pretty cool to have if I had the space to set it up.

    For sale beautiful 1901 Majestic wood cook stove. I am moving in one week and it needs to go. If your interested give me a call. I am asking 500.00 or best offer. I cooked on it all last winter, I will also throw in a load of seasoned firewood. Call me ASAP if you are interested. I am moving next Saturday.

    Bet that bugger weighs a ton.:)
    I know someone who keeps a stove similar to that in their basement, uses it both for heat and cooking when the family all come over for holidays.

    I guess this is a little before the days of pushing a button to "preheat oven to 450°F" lol!

    The only thing that lacks is a warming oven. Looks great.

    btw, when I was a little boy, my mama cooked all our meals on a stove very similar to that one. That also is where we heated all our water (the reservoir on the right).

    One day I will end up with one of that type of stove. For that price if it were closer, like within 100 miles, I'd be all over it. One thing I know for sure is to make sure the fire box is in good condition.

    When I remodel my kitchen, I will make sure I reserve a spot to just for a wood cook stove. Then I can get rid of this electric thing. (smooth top, push button, warning light, digital timer, etc ....... JUNK)

    When I was a little boy my Grammy cooked on one in her kitchen, which is now my kitchen. But that stove went in the 70's. Talk about heat in the kitchen in the summer, Wow!

    Thinking about it, I probably could haul that type of stove on my bike. Of course I'd have to remove the oven door so I would have a place to sit. So if there was a fire in the firebox, would that mean I would have a "Hot smokin butt" or just a "Hot butt?" :rofl: :lol:
