    I have a bunch of attachments for my Ryobi 31cc including a chain pole saw , got a harness for it too.

    Not sure which Cultivator I should get though, looks like the tines on the TrimmerPlus might work better

    HDRock I would get one at home Depot if you can look at it... it's tines look removable... I like that on mine because I can just leave 1 outside tiNE on and use it like an edger.. Or in raised flower beds..

    I looked at some videos and the manuals so I am going to get the Ryobi and it comes with the extra handle to attach to it.
    I think it will make the job much quicker and easier and like I said I have other small areas I can use it also

    What kind of grass seed should I use, anyone?
    Does it really matter?
    That area does get quite a bit of sun, not all day

    Sorry HDRock had to go to video conference... hate it when work disturbs fhc time.. I think either would do fine.. All your really doing is fluffing soil that got squished when water logged so you don't have to add soil... also preps it nicely for quick seeding...

    If you have a Family Farm and Home around your area, I've had great luck with their bulk hardy mix. Not sure what all is in the mix, but the areas I've reseeded in the past few years (mostly areas where I removed dead/dying spruce trees) are the greenest parts of my lawn, even in the heat of summer.

    I just got immersed/engrossed researching native grass seed to cover the new septic we put in last winter, it gets pretty deep. Unless you on or connected to natural open space, I would go with whatever hardy stuff the other guys here in your area use:)
    ordering is special order, should be here this summer with sowing in the fall (no sprinkler).

    If you need native grass and want to spend alot of time researching, I used this along with help from the Soil Conservancy District guy in my area.
