Hopefully it works out. I don't know why it can't unless the wife has big plans.

Shawn Curry and/or The Wood Wolverine or anyone else with a CSM. I'm thinking of bringing this complex, black birch crotch up to the GTG. It might make a couple decent slabs or it may just be firewood. 25" bar for reference.

    Woodmizer would be ideal.
There was definitely some flame figure when down in the butt swell. Crotches are always a crapshoot. Never know what kind of figure you'll have or if it's full of ingrown bark until you open it up or or if it will go all wonky and tear itself apart while drying.

BTW, I had some black birch milled up (on a Woodmizer) about 5 yrs ago. The lumber turned out really nice. A lot of little knots, but I got enough nice clean pieces out of for a table and some leftovers. It was really heavy and strong wood, lovely to work with and finish.

Cell service for Verizon is excellent the tower is on the mountain behind the farm. As for other carriers I'm not sure I do know at&t is not real good.

    Thanks for the invite!

Thinking about it if there is room. It's only a couple hour drive. All pending OK with my wife.

Here's the latest food list that I found.

TurboDiesel - Mac and cheese, Macaroni Salad
Redfin - brown sugar bacon baked beans
Eric VW - peanut butter pies
    UncleJoe - chocolate chip cookie
    bobdog2o02 - Pasta Salad
Leadfarmer - shoe fly pie and gourmet potatoes
The Wood Wolverine coleslaw and bottled water deviled eggs
    38f20 haluski and butter bars
    definitive dave soda and ice
    bobdog2o02 chocolate
UncleJoe eggs and pickled eggs and beets
    bobdog2o02 Muffins - aparently

I can start with adding a pint of home made peach habanero hot sauce - goes real nice with roast pork - not too hot.
    Couple water melons and lopes.
    Snack foods- chips, salsa .....

plus any of the toys in my signature.
