Anyone have any experience setting up the newer SWM boxes? Dad is having some trouble getting going, but I think it is because he wasn't using the right setup. He just wants to use the satellite seervice he is already paying for at home while he is out at the campground as well.

Over my head, so of course I want to comment. Is that for 2 different tv's in the RV? Can you direct connect to the reciever for one tv instead?

I think I do have it figured out, just looking for others with experience. I think he needs a $116 setup designed specifically for his box. And a compass.

Can't he just take his box with him the the campground? I assume he has a dish on his RV? I'm not too familiar with the newer satellite stuff.

That's what we are working on. No dish on the camper, will be using a tripod setup. But the new SWM technology is making things a little tricky to find the right equipment.

My neighbor has a dish on his RV an hour away, he just brings his extra receiver with him when they go to the lake....
Sorry, probably NO HELP there, Griz.
