    Picked the saws up last evening and they were better than advertised. Basically both are like brand new, as are the bars and chains. A quick touch-up with a file and they'll be buzzing wood!

    Nice score!! I do not use anything other than my MS461 at present, so a light saw like this would be a dream on the small stuff. :dex:

    I'd say if about perfect u did good. The ms170 is on sale right now I keep seeing for $159.

    Yep that's true. SC was one of the original 13 as was NC. We're a LONG WAY from actual new england. And Sure as heck sound nothing like them up there.

    I think that's an MS211 Comfort Model with the extra chain brake, USA emissions spec, AutoTuned MTronic, dual skeleton spike, high output oiler, with an extra skookum full wrap reverse rotary choocher (bottle opener?) on the lower handle.

    Even if the 170 is only $159, with tax your looking at around $175. So that's still a $75 savings!!

    Great deal in my book. The 170 I bought my father is a great little saw! Love that thing! As does he!
