Maple Keels over next to woodstacks..

    Came home the other night and see a big black object close to the edge of the driveway... As I drove closer, I see that a red maple decided to keel over right next to my driveway and it was the big rootball I was seeing.
    Not a black bear after all.... :bug: :emb: That maple was a leaner and about 12" in diameter at the base, with this wet spring we have had and its lean, it just fell over.

    I may try to cut it up Saturday, but it's suppose to rain... Maybe just shy of a 1/3 of a cord by my guess.

    It looked smaller in the 1st picture. That's a nice little addition to the wood pile.

    I thought the same thing... Turns out it was a little bigger than I thought too. The wood stack was only the main trunk too, the top was in another pile.

    It did look smaller in the first picture, that's a good bit of wood there, Mother Nature will provide.
