Time to load up before the ground turn to muck.
Icy still, but melting pretty fast.
2/3 cord + in the basement, ready for when winter returns

Always impressed with your setup dave! I got two trailer loads in yesterday after work. With the temps we've got for the next week im sure i'll be hauling quite a few loads in

I'm pretty sure I have burned more wood than you have at this point!

    Thanks
Last filled it on Dec 27

About 4 weeks or more worth of wood, if these temperatures hold.
Glad I got it in yesterday.
    40°, rain

With the temperatures you are getting Dave, I'd be doing lots of outside work.

Last winter you went south to golf, this year they might open the courses close to home.

Well the ground is frozen , so the melted snow is water on top of ice.
Low areas have standing water on ice .
When the surface does thaw, it's gooey soft or mud down to the frost level, 1/2" or so.
Wind gusting to 36 mph. Drying stuff off but not fun to work in.

I'm pumping water (some areas 12" deep) off the front lawn to try to save the grass,
it''ll get iced in when this weather leaves & kill the grass.
Shoveling up the land mines (dog doo) as the snow melts & it shows up.
Nice to get outside & not be bundled up, but it's like break up, can't really do much.

Drilled some hole in the bucket for the pump.
    better pics tomorrow,
May let the pump run all night. 10" of water in this part of the yard.

For this many days ? ?, only, maybe 2 times in the past 30 years.
Forecast to go another 8 to 10 days like this yet.

Had one winter that no days below zero . Lots of snow that year though. :)
