Welp, I had a pleasant surprise visit at work today from my daughter. She goes to Temple which is only about 2 miles up the road from where I was. We went for a very quick lunch at Reading Terminal Market and got a couple cheesesteaks. She made it a great day at work!

Unfortunately it was a bit like work for us on the water. TOUGH day!! Only got a few good bites, But the new gear worked awesome! Boat got a lot of looks from the guys that were having a tourney. And we weren't the only ones struggling to boat a few. Low pressure front had em about lock jawed.......

Thats neat of her to surprise pops! I take it she looks like her mom. ;) :p :D tee hee!

Couple pics of the decent fish we caught.

It was a super nice day out - low humidity at 31%, 74* or so, sunny and a light breeze visited every once in a while. Made up my list of things to do t make sure my mind stayed on task and didn't wander so far off that I got on the bike. The list consisted of:

    • Go to the dump - been 9 days so I needed to get rid of cat litter stuff and empty the recyclables (didn't do that last time)
    • Clean the bathroom (seriously glad that no one is ever over here - I let it go a bit to long
    • Laundry - 3 loads since I can't do it during the week anymore
    • Water the indoor plants
    • MOW
    • Winterize the snow blower
    • Spray poison ivy and Japanese knotweed patches.
    • Put up warning tape around said poisoned patches

The biggest item was getting the lawn mowed since it needed it last weekend, but it was wet the entire time. I thought I was sunk when it started raining last night - especially knowing that it would rain tonight and into tomorrow. Good thing it dried out enough or I would have had to hire a farmer to take care of it before next weekend :faint:. I also really wanted to get the PI and JK patches sprayed as they are spreading rapidly (Japanese knotweed grows 6" per day - all while they are spawning babies :hair:). Technically, the JK isn't on my land, but I notified the town last year that the patch was there on the abandoned lot (deeded to the town and is unbuildable so has gone wild), so they had their chance. I already put in massive effort to rid myself of 1 plant last spring that only took 10 days to go from a couple of leaves I didn't recognize next to the house to almost 5 feet tall of very invasive plant. Let's just say I am not going thru the massive backbreaking effort to get another JK plant out of my yard if I can help it.

Still have things on my list; some may get done tonight, but all have to be done by tomorrow night.
