This is a bit late (since I forgot I did it over the weekend....LOL)......took the sn*wblower out of the shed, poured about a capful of Stabil in the gas, started it up (manually....2 pulls).....let her run 1/2 throttle w/ partial choke for about 15 min, shut down and stored until next winter.

Started putting the landscape fabric down around the front shrubs, and put some of the new stone on it to get an idea what it'll look like, washed the gravel clean, and it looks pretty good. Thanks to Will will711 for the professional advice on what to plant.....should look great when the plants grow some, but MUCH nicer than before anyway.

i think i'd simply use the 200 lb pull string to pull in the RG6 coax. you don't need a lot of pulling power. remember that RG6 quad shield has 4 DB of loss per 100 feet. makes setting up cameras using CAT 5E a simpler route sometimes

Only had to go 15 feet, ended up using some cotton twine on the ghost, sucked it right through, cables are pulled, still have to trench and bury the conduit for final placement, but holding off until the junction box is mounted on the side of the house / the electrical closet, box, and conduit to the inside are all set.. So I can move things around & adjust as needed.

Good point on the cabling: only short runs here, each camera came w/ 65 ft. of siamese cable (coax + power), and all tested fine, so using what came w/ the cameras (good quality cable actually) - but if it was a longer run, I would do Cat5 E + baluns, definitely.

Wanted to make better progress today, but travel, and the black flies had other plans.. 20 minutes outside, and I was swarmed - it's bad here this year. Can't do much at this point, the Bumble Bees are out - so no spraying, fogging, etc. to knock them pesky flies down. ( The Bees rule, I will gladly suffer a bit. )

Been going through Off Deep woods spray by the gallon here.. it helps - but they're bad right now. Should be better in a week or so. ( I hope. )

I need to do that (snowblower was already moved from garage to shed). I also need to get the mower started - was going to mow last weekend but it was wet so I couldn't. Supposed to rain on Saturday - hoping Sunday is dry because I'm gonna need farm equipment if it has to go another week before its first cutting :faint:

Got the mower out yesterday afternoon. Would not start.

Primer plunger has bit the dust. Pushed it in and it would not rebound. Brought it into the workshop and fired up the wood stove. Restoked the stove for an all night burn last night and hopefully the heat will "soften" the rubber enough for some rebound. Worked last year, and the year before so here's hoping for this year.

The mower is tired in many ways. She is about 20 years old and I have been milking her for every minute of life for at least the last three. The engine uses nearly as much oil as gas, surges, sputters, spits and belches enough pollution to banned in California. PLUS, I am getting too creaky to push the beast over the approx acre and half we keep manicured. :BrianK:

Going to the farm store this weekend to look at the JD lawn tractors.

If not unreasonable may get one with a PTO and replace the snowblower too. The budget boss is going to tell me how much I have to spend in a day or two for what she considers just another man toy. :heidi:

If the donation is to paltry I may just have her mow the yard this weekend. That is sure to get a bigger budget. :makeitrain"

With all the rain we had and the orb finally deciding to show, Seems the grass grew 6" overnight. Had to mow on Tuesday evening. Its already looking like it needs it again. Soon we'll be mowing 2 to 3 times a week! :tractor:

New I forgot something, Never did change the oil in the mower. Hoping the rain holds off on Sunday and get that checked off the list. More funner stuff to do first though!! :D

    Brown truck comes tonight. :D

    :ups:

Gonna have to go out and play on Saturday! :seasoned:

Laundry - dishes -- She will never have me do.

I would simply eat off paper with plastic and bring the laundry to the wash n fold place.

Doesn't like me to cook much either cause I always fix the same dish -- It is called 1-800-delivery

I AM a chauvinist and too old to get new spots. I have my jobs and the wife has hers. It works for me and I guess for her too cause we are still happily together.

Well been working on the garden area. Disturbed the ticks and other miserable critters yesterday by mowing and this morning by running the tiller. The boss has 5 of the smaller raised beds planted and will be doing more this afternoon after the quilt club and t*******t society meeting. There is also a package out for delivery so later today I've got to play in the freezer.

Ice maker is in and on, it can take quite a while (up to 4 hours) to see some ice as the unit has to cool down so the thermal controls can tell what end is up.

brought the zero turn home from the shop to mow the lawn as my 1450 Cub Cadet (circa 1973) was exhibiting compression release problems on starting. zipped thru the lawn and towed the 1450 into the home workshop for repair. tried to start it for ha-ha's..... the bi$%t started!

i'm thinking it's either a poor ground to the engine or the compression release plunger is hanging up. i'll have to check it out.

I could get spoiled with the Z-turn as it will mow the lawn in 1/2 the time. but i've got to haul it home to do it.....
