Does any of the Michigan guys know of anyone that sell or give away used billboard tarps?
I'm looking to cover stacks of wood. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if your near Ovid or not:

    Large Heavy Duty Tarps

Might be worth a Craigs list search in your area.

Hopefully you would get some neat advertising...?
Only drawback would be as you use a row of wood, you would have that extra tarp drooping down in front of the next row and so on.

If you find them grab them up quick and don't use them for covering firewood. Put them away as in ten years they will be a thing of the past. The billboards around here are going to digital. Cuts the expense with not having to pay to change the board that will be done from an office on a computer.

I believe they can be cut. Fiber reinforced vinyl unlike woven plastic of a regular tarp.

Go to a farm nearby that has bunker silos, the plastic from those works perfect for covering wood stacks, very tough, entirely waterproof unless you poke a hole in it, and they also do not tear easily a utility knife will cut one all day long however. Uv rated material most farmers will give it away for free and my favorite 2parts about it when compared to traditional tarps is that it doesn't get fused in with the snow and ice and wood snow literally slides right off of it, and if you do happen to tear it who cares it's free and not very hard to find! One downside however is do not put used bunker silo plastic in a nice car, the silage that's sticking to it can really stink

On my days off I work for a large dairy that farms 5000 acres and they have some extra plastic but not a lot. Thanks I'll have to look into it. I usually use that plastic to cover the garden. Works great.

I'm thinking there is someone near McBride or Stanton who sells billboard tarps.

There used to be a company right next to Lansing airport.... And I got some from a guy in downtown Grayling. You can cut them with a utility knife or scissors. The heavy duty ones are very sturdy.
