There are so many programs available to folks that are in need. Someone willing to steal all the wood out of my sis-in-law's lean-to had to know they were stealing. I'm pretty darn sure the only reason it didn't all unappear, is they didn't have any more room in the truck/vehicle. Very deliberate, very much so. Horse thieves were hung, because that horse was someone's means to a livelihood. When someone steals a person's wood that keeps them from freezing, well........ There are and will always be, those who prepare and those who don't. Those who don't sometimes feel that those who do owe them something. Three little pigs.......
It may be true that no one who is a member of this forum would be dumb enough to do that, but this is an open forum, anybody can read what's posted here. There has been lots of stories in the news in the past few years about people (especially kids) doing things they wouldn't normally do because of things they read or saw on the internet. Things like suicides and bullying, and people going to extremes trying to get their you tube videos to go viral. Besides, if it is some drug addict, like you say, stealing the wood to sell so he can buy drugs, the same scenario I mentioned would be even more likely since it won't be the drug addict burning the wood, it would likely end up in the hands of some honest guy trying to keep his family warm.
Yeah, I guess you're right. Ok everybody, nix the black powder in the firewood idea and go with plan B: Remote detonated Claymores! (On the other hand, I don't buy stolen firewood either, and would be awfully suspicious if the neighborhood crack head started selling firewood.)
And in the summer you have to worry about losing the AC at night while you sleep because they stole a few dollars of copper tubing.
With my memory? Hell, I can barely remember to close the air down on all three stoves. Last thing I need is to remember where I placed bear traps.
Yeah, as I've said before, I'm already at the point where I can hide my own Easter Eggs. I would need a detailed schematic with the locations of everything and then I'd probably forget where I saved the schematic.
OK here is the solution. worked for this guy! http://www.theblaze.com/stories/201...rackers-that-led-police-right-to-his-bedroom/
Mr. A has the right idea, SSS..... And you won't even find blood in a pig pen after their done, the existance of that individual will be pig s#!t! Here on the shore, the crabs would eat "very well"...
What is the punishment if someone is convicted of stealing wood? If someone steals $250 worth of wood is that the same as stealing a $250 grill off the back porch? If the wood is in a building does that change the level of crime? My location makes it very difficult for someone to steal my stash. I consider myself lucky that I don't have to worry about that stuff. I can become a little "focused" when I have to deal with crap like that and I don't like it.
