I thought burning season was over. But it was cold in the house when I got home and the wife wanted a fire. Who am I to argue? I was secretly wanting to build a fire myself. Yesterday it was 38 degrees in the morning. This Saturday's forecast is calling for a high of 51 and a low of 36. Might have to make another fire this weekend.

I think we are paying for the mild winter we had. Lows in the 30's seems a bit cold for mid-May.

Of the next 10 days, four of them will be in the 30's (overnight).

Temp in the mid 30's last pm. We had a fire. Warmer today. Stove is off. Ceiling fan on. This is the season of change. I thinknow May brings more change than any other month.

We've been having temps. near freezing at night, we just bump on the oil FHA for 10 minutes when we get up. By 7:30 the sun is over the trees and warming things up. We wear sweatshirts and open the windows. I've been done burning for a month. I always am done burning mid April and won't burn again (inside) till November. But we like the cold, so maybe we're a little strange.

Went to the TSC today for dogfood. Saw a lot of fruit trees and tender garden vegetable plants half dead from frost. What a waste. No frost at my house, but still very cold at night.

And the forecast was for an early and above normal temperature spring. So much for forecasts....
