86 F yesterday and gonna be low 60's F today and cloudy with maybe a sprinkle or two.

House is 66 F this morning, and I am thinking about a spot fire maybe in a bit.

Not going to be much input from Ma Sun at all today as the cloud layer is deep and gray.

It's a tricky time of year, downstairs is 64 and upstairs is 74 . On a side note I just hooked up my new surge protector.

Here too. However the freaking wind showed up with the sun so even though it got up to 50*, it felt a lot colder. Fortunately there was enough solar gain on the main floor to keep the P43 from firing until early this morning. Basement stove still fires on a regular basis to keep it at 65*

Was downright COLD in the shack this morning.

    Only 62 F in here.
Tossed a ripping fire in the big Whit about 6 Am to alleviate that little issue.

Supposed to be 70 F today then slowly crawl back to low 80's F by mid week.

Will shut the stove off here in another hour or so probably.

    Shoulder season, GOTTA LOVE IT.

Russell Am I seeing the pic correctly?........it looks like the "Protection Present" LED isn't lit. is it just the pic?

If it's not lit, the unit may be defective, according to Tripp Lite:

"Protection Present: This green LED illuminates when all surge suppression components of your unit are intact and providing full protection against spikes and surges. If this LED does not illuminate, some surge suppression components are not functioning and the unit should be replaced. Call Tripp Lite Customer Support: 773.869.1234."

Good eyes, it's just the flash from the pic that washed out the LED . I checked it several times last night and both lights were on.

Burning season quickly winding down here. In fact, based on the forecast, last night may have been the final burn of the season. Been wrong about that before though. Mother nature can be tricky sometimes.
