Take note thewoodlands Wife made this rhubarb pie today. Yummy! Yes, I had pie a la mode! She made some extra crust and it is delicious.
Yum Yum! She's a great Lady! Question is....other than being your charming self, what'd you have to do to have her make that pie?
Well, I can't tell what I had to do get get her to make that pie but it wasn't sweet talk! Yes, I'm spoiled but spoiled by a super and wonderful but ornery woman. Danged pie is almost gone already and we're getting low on vanilla ice cream too.
pie looks great dennis.. no pie for me... but going to grill steaks for wife for dinner! I've met Judy your right sweet beautiful woman mine spoils me tooo
It looks great Sav, I finally busted through 218 so I'm off the pie and ice cream for another month....... 208 here I come. I wonder how old Gasifier 's doing on the OLD weight loss program, I bet he's gaining weight sitting on that OLD yellow tractor.
Backwoods Savage, Thanks for posting photos of the rhubarb pie. It looks delicious. It also brings back fond memories for me of my mom's rhubarb pie. She would make it for me on my birthday (May 5th) instead of a cake because I liked it so much. Thanks for the "sweet memories".
I need to get down to 175ish. I just weighed in at 190ish. But my boxers I was wearing must of been half that difference. And they say muscle weighs more than fat. Looks like I'm fine. And you must be Lou Ferrigno! .
Mmm...pie (said with the Homer Simpson "mmm...beer" drawl) Mmm...extra crust (see above ^ ^ ^) when mom made extra crust we would snatch it up right out of the oven, slather it in butter/cinnamon/sugar...MMM-MMM!
Dog-gon-it! There is blueberry cobbler out in the kitchen that I said i was gonna leave alone tonight, cause, well it's 10:30 at night, and I just don't really need it, but nooow, I gots pie on the brain...I'll be back EDIT: I compromised, only et half a piece
And I'm proud to say I just polished off another rhubarb pie and all of it was with vanilla ice cream on it too!!!!!
Sounds good Dennis! My brother and his wife invited us over for a cook out today. Burgers, dogs and a baked potato bar with all the fixings. (cheese, sour cream, crumbled up bacon, scallions ) So my wife was in charge of dessert and she makes home made biscuits and has fresh strawberries and blueberries and whip cream to go one top. So much for the diet for that meal! I did have a light breakfast and lunch though. So hopefully it equals out.
I'd have to lose 50 lbs to be at 208, and I'd be a fence post. At 178 I'd be on my death bed. Pie looks great Dennis! I will have some dessert now.
I feel pretty good at 190. 175 is a better running weight for me though. And I'm suppose to run a half marathon (13.1 miles) in September. I have some serious training to do. So I need to drop some poundage.
