My neighbor saw me hauling a load of walnut home from my sisters yesterday and flagged me down. After commenting on my enormous saw, they offered me some ash. How could I refuse? :salute: :saw: I was warned that I could develop an itchy rash afterwards, but I'm not worried cause Ive got protection! :D

I call this technique, "stop, scrape, and roll"

It was bigger that it looked from the road. There's at least 1 more load like this, and maybe a partial. I figure about a cord altogether.

Take a shovel and start digging and put the limbs in your neighbor's Ashhole. :faint:

Had to go back for round 2:

Tree service even left me some cookies. The trees were on the other side of a ditch, so I used them as "stepping stones" to get across.

Fantastic Shawn. Yesterday I was cutting some of that spruce you left here. Still lots to go. I thought about counting limbs but gave up on that idea.

    I used to..
But they stopped me from inserting "IN BED" after every prognostication.

If you insert those two words after every fortune cookie from here forth you shall be granted great things:D

Finally got a chance to get back over there to finish the job. Ended up with a bigger load than I thought I would. Should add up to a solid cord.

I don't think theres a round under 10" - all nice and straight too. I split a couple of the rounds, and I'm pretty sure I could have that done in an afternoon. It's nothing like Backwoods Savage 's elm ash. :D
