Roofers were bustin butt yesterday
Nothin but azz holes and elbows.

The tore everything off the center section (Triple wide manuf. home) and went after it.
Had to replace 4 sheets of the sheeting due to dry rot (Leaks around the sky light)
Once that was done they covered the entire section with whats called "Water and Ice shield"

This stuff is a roll type material that has a peel off plastic backing and the stuff bonds to the sheeting.

Once this is down they lay the architectural shingles (Similar to 3 tab but basically one piece and rated for 130 mph wind)

This set up is supposed to be far better than a standard 3 tab over the felt on the shallow slope roofs.

Today they are gonna go after getting the center finished and then rip off the North and south sections and gitterdone.

Saturday or Monday completion is the buzz at present.

Be nice to have a top notch roof on the shack.

 

Sounds like they know what they're doing Snowy - did the same here w/ the skylights, Grace water & ice shield all around, and on the first 4 ft. of each roof end, it's nice to not have to worry about any water or ice dam issues.

 

What is the model number on that Netgear unit? My units were all spouting 4 SSIDs when I got them. I got rid of two of them for each router. I have no use for guest networks. I have no idea what they are using for a router or how they have it set up but it seems that they have a few issues having 4 cameras.

 

Skylights are pre-installed roof leaks. To be avoided at all costs.

I am sampling a Seagrams Escapes 'Wild Berries' smoothie at the moment - it ain't bad ! The 'Mango' flavored one is very tasty. Picked up a bunch of different flavors in one of those sampler bins @ Wally World a couple of weeks ago, they've been chillin' in the Fridge.

It has a whopping 3.2% alcohol by volume, which means I should be asleep in about 5 minutes..

First daughter is home, car is packed to-the-gills w/ more College Stuff, I'm beat - time for a nap. And a bottle.

One more short day for me then a day off

 

The round yellow thing was out today with hardly a cloud in the sky. Temps got into the upper 60's. Seems like months since it's been this warm. I actually got half my lawn mowed before the back said enough. Supposed to clud up tonight and be chitty the rest of the weekend.
