Yes, I was willing to let it go to him for $1500. As I mentioned, he had done a lot of work for me. Now that I have it back, the next time I go to sell it I think I post it for a more legitimate price. I think I could bring in a few more buck. Will wait and see.
Mate I would have sold you mine, I took $1600 with a plow. It was an '86 but ran fine just had too many little leaks to keep minding.
no joke it must be a Vermont thing. Brother just sold his 2004 gmc 3500 dually dump. had not moved in 2 years.. was a plow truck.. needed 2500 in repairs to move ... more to put on road.. cash in hand 7000... 2wd you have hard time giving away... Why I don't own a truck yet... must be like selling car in Florida without A/C...
There is talk of the government wanting to stop making the $100 bill. They want to make it harder for drug dealers and people who get paid cash.
Somehow it never seemed to bother me carrying a wad of bills to the bank. But yes, a $500 would mean less of them but the same net amount in the end.
Around here, trying to get change for a hundred dollar bill is difficult. I would love to go thru McDonalds drive through at lunch and hand the kid a $500.00 bill, his head would probably explode!!
If you want to drive to Cincinnati and don't mind 2WD my brother has a 1993 4banger 5-speed Ranger I bet he'd let go for cheap. It's just been sitting at my parents for a year since he bought a new Ranger.
There is talk of doing away with the $100 bill. Supposedly because of war on drugs stupidity. Edit: I seen this was already posted above, sorry. It is almost a cut-n-paste, but I never saw Jack Straw 's post before.
Yah, and if one were so inclined, can you imagine what it would be like to go pay cash for a brand new Ford F350 crew cab dually diesel King Ranch edition with a stack of 20s!
I once sold an IH 806 tractor, the kid that bought it only had $20 bills. He handed over a mason jar with $5000 in it and dipped into another one to come up with the rest that he owed. I only paid $2200 for it at auction two weeks prior, so I thought I did okay.
