Yeah, thought I cleaned the ashes out for the last time a few weeks ago. Did a nice job too.

28° on the back porch this morning. Peerless boiler is humming along on oil. The sun this morning looks like it will be strong today.

Haven't had a fire for 2 weeks. Now we're back in the mid to upper 40's for daytime highs, 30's overnight and a steady rain/drizzle. Started a fire Wednesday night and will have to keep it going till Sunday or Monday with some cherry and ash to keep the dampness at bay.

29 this morning. Oil burning. Another year with the colder winter temperatures started and are sticking around a month late. That's three in a row now.

    More of the same.
Still burning pretty regular . A few 2 day hiatus' from the stove.
I think we had more sunny days in Feb and Mar than weve had in April. Been pretty dismal.
30 days max before final shutdown.

Mid 40's with a cold rain Thursday night, burned some scrap for about 3 hours.First fire in almost 3 weeks.Upper 40's & cold windy rain again today, reducing my scrap/kindling pile a bit more this afternoon.

Guessing maybe 1-2 more fires by mid May,then its done until early-mid October.Hopefully anyway.

Is peanut butter pie a regional thing ?
I've never seen a peanut butter pie, or if I have I've totally dismissed it.
I like peanut butter but it sounds rather gauche bereft of ingredients context .

Don't t know about regional but PB pie is the best. One slice probably has about 5,000,000 calories and you can almost hear your arteries hardening after eating it. But it is soooooooooo worth it.

Rainy here yesterday and today. Burned some chunks and uglies yesterday and got the house up to 74 (from 60). Maybe more of the same today. Close to being done here but keeping some shoulder season wood in the house just in case.
