You said you only had a few videos, does that mean you have audio only streams encapsulated in those MP4s?

One never knows with all of the "Standards" if anything is what it was intended to be. Sort of like a free for all out there.

Still playing with options in DD-WRT, man there is a pile of them. I think I'm going to have to get a stack of portable hard drives to play with all of the USB partition/file system combinations. DD-WRT turns your router into a Linux based computer. I will wear USB sticks out in no time playing this game. The RMA package was delivered to NetGear at 9.10 this morning.

Maybe the refund check will cover a couple of 500GB or larger USB 3.0 portable HDs for playing with or maybe a refurbished whatever.

Got an email from Staples the other day, re: USB 3.0 portable drives, may be of interest to you:

    http://www.staples.com/WD-Elements-2TB-Portable-External-Hard-Drive/product_1140622

Sale ends April 30, 2016. (Have had good luck w/ the WD portable HDs here, no issues.)

I've had good luck with a large number of drives including the 1TB Seagate that is attached to the R6259 and the 5 TB Seagate that I use for backup. The primary HD in the PC is a 2TB Toshiba. I also have 250GB USB2.0 WD unit that was my backup until last August when I did a full software upgrade. I now have 646356 files needing 548.7 GiB (589,172,035,584 bytes) . Things grew somehow :hair::picard:

    I liked the Platinums
Wow - that is cheap. And free shipping (and 5% rewards for members, which I am). I might just have to get one. Have one similar as a backup for my desktop, but my laptop doesn't have anything. I guess I should look at the emails they send me more often - thanks CleanFire for posting that! :salute:

    Edit - ordered :)

You're welcome bogieb, I've noticed that Staple's prices on certain tech. items have dropped over the past few months, and are right in-line w/ Amazon, Newegg, etc., and for some items, less expensive.

Same here STB, different drives from various manufacturers: WD, Seagate, and Toshiba for platter-based drives, all have worked well.

Ground cover here was damp from the rain earlier in the week, but is back to very dry again, so holding off on any motorized equipment, until more rain comes in over the weekend/next week. Been making slow progress w/ a Rake and wheelbarrow, but really need some HP to get stuff moving.

This morning is replacing the failed hood strut supports on the '08 Taurus (yay, yahoo), and a spark plug / oil change for the small Cub Cadet tractor, tossing the tractor battery on the charger, clean & oil the air filter, draining the fuel tank, using compressed air to blast out -> the fuel line & filter up to the carb, and loading w/ fresh fuel ..

Getting ready for some yard maintenance rock-'n-roll. Lots of yard cleanup to do. :picard:

Then off to work.. Have a great day everyone.

Yup, and boy were those machines interesting when attached to a system and you got to see them crank out the fiche.

A lot of genealogy records are still on microfiche. When I was out and about at different libraries and town halls it was tough to learn different machines to get to the page I needed to be on. Of course while in school, we used a similar projector each time. Thank goodness records are being transcribed to the internet, very slowly, but still glad.

The film and fiche is considered archival. I had a computer attached dry fiche system at one company I worked for.

I'll have to download an ftp client for the boss's vista laptop so I can verify the FTP set-up on my 3700V4 unit. I don't want to swap out the 6250 while playing, I got the Samba server operating last night, so far no real surprises. The FTP server is on but the Vista system no have a decent FTP client.
