Brought in 2.5 bucket loads of wood today so I should be good for the next week or more. It was great that the ground was frozen and I could use the bucket on the tractor.

Is that a wood pass through door in the back corner? Nice load. I am going to bring in a bit of wood to the basement rack as cold weather is predicted this week.

Nice, wish I had a little more room for firewood like that. I can only hold a few days worth in my little firewood ring.

Yup, it sure is. I put that in a few years ago to cut down on the mess in the house and I love it. Actually I'm pretty sure my wife like it better than me as she is a clean freak.

This post read my mind, we have some colder weather coming too and today I plan on moving some wood indoors and fill the firewood ring.
    I like your setup certified!

Certifed, Im thinking of adding a small window to bring wood in the house without having to carry it in. When you have time, can you post a pic of the outside of the house where that pass door is? just want to get an idea. thanks. stay warm friend.

Very nice wood rack setup! I don't know how you keep everything so clean....... It seriously looks like, you could eat off the floor under the wood rack!

I clean quite frequently downstairs. We filled the wood racks, then I swept, mopped, and then took a pic. So it's slightly "Staged".

Normally clean once a week really good and I keep a dust pan and paint brush on my wood rack for any big messes I make (daily). It's hidden behind the metal sign that's attached to the wood rack. Only takes 5 seconds to sweep up and toss into the wood stove.

Plus, my septic is right in front of wood rack. So I try to keep it semi clean.

Looks like a good warm place to spend the evenings for the next few days.
Watch the fire & enjoy the heat.

Great looking set ups, guys! I've been busy filling up my hearth as well (actually my mantel) in a different way.....with antique pots, utensils, and even an early 1700's bedwarmer!

The spatulas, ladles, skimmers and spoons date from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War, as do the pots and pans.
The shovel is from the French and Indian War era (1750-1760), and the bread peel dates to 1790-1810. I have a TON of time over the years finding matching pieces (most from PA).

Even took a black and white of the hearth and I think those old pieces fit in nicely with the NZ3000...

Scotty, I love the look of that mantel and all the goodies hanging on it! Great job dude!
I will tell you what I have been really thinking hard about making one of those coal sifters you made. Just got to find someone with a welder to weld it up when it's done.
