I am almost through a ton and so far they are burning very well.
Most likely some batch variance issues. I have one more ton sitting around for next year.

That sounds very healthy, and tasty WW. IHP - save me a bowl of that, please. :chef:

I'm always amazed, & impressed, with the amount of fines that can run through other member's stoves here - the little Francesca stove's auger has issues carrying pellets up to the drop tube when there is as little as 3 - 4" of dust/fines at the auger base.
She's definitely "high maintenance". But we love her anyways. :D

Stove set up not the issue. The Serenity chews anything including these. It burned them.

Looked like a drunken kids playing with sparklers inside the firebox :usa: for the several hours I could see through the glass.

    The issue was sawdust. :saw:
They looked like I had just sanded a couple of tables from rough lumber to finish.
Had to hold a vac hose over the hopper when dumping them in.

But .... Yes it could have been a bad batch, or, it could have been Lowes mis-handling of the product.

Regardless of cause ..... Never again. :headbang:

If I had not had such an issue with the 2 or 3 bags last year I would not be so stuck in the mud about them ... but they are only getting two strikes.

I only bought a dozen and in truth at the price I can not complain ... cost less than cat litter or garden fill so no real loss other than the time for an extra stove cleaning.

Had a solid rain storm yesterday, the kind that would normally leave the ground well soaked this morning.

Not enough apparently. Just came in from pulling plant covers (light frost last night) and the ground is at best damp. Wind today will leave it dry again.
