We had business to attend to in a Beautiful part of New Hampshire, but managed to enjoy the outdoors as well during the little down time we had.

A moose in the road. "Sawyer Rd" we always see them on this stretch.

    Beautiful.

I've always wondered why the medial likes to portray the moose as homely. I've always thought they were a beautiful animal.

Very nice. We spent a few days up there at the end of last summer and enjoyed it. I think we will go back again for another hike or two.

And can be very intimidating if you happen upon one close up. That huge head and antler spread can can be very humbling. We have many of them in our state. I just don't care to bump into them or turn about and there they are! They are huge and they know they are huge.

Tourism is our largest industry, you can't go wrong up here in Maine, NH, and Vermont. I look forward to welcoming our newest resident and refugee, WeldrDave !

Beautiful part of the country! I spent 2 weeks attending a "Wilderness First Responder" course at SOLO near Conway, NH a few years back. I only had a few short chances to get out on my own and hike some areas during the time there. I definitely want to go back there some day.

My camp is only about 25 miles away up thru the Crawford Notch by Mt. Washington. Highest peak in the northeast @ 6288' still snow covered. Home of the highest wind ever recorded by man at 231 mph.

Nothing is written in stone yet, but the business up there last August and last weekend was viewing properties. Outside of Thornton looks promising. Get your saw ready, I'll be woodless and stoveless for awhile:(

I did not know WeldrDave was looking in that area
