I'm glad she had such a good time! It would make a fantastic annual event and I'd be happy to help you make that happen next year!

I don't think anyone is going to beat you up too bad over it! :D

    I got a couple I believe :)

With the kids going to bed and Eric VW still at my place, I don't want to be to antisocial ;)

Thanks again to Dennis and Judy!

And Rose, Julie, Tim, etc, etc, etc for the cooking, food, and the set up! Everyone from this site is a genuine human being that loves to help!!

As for this being an annual thing?? 100% agree!! I'll be there every year! Good way to fill your garage with wood, get those piles stacked, and make sure that wet wood of yours stays wet!!

I'm about 30 minute drive I'll open the house to beds and tents next time! Worse comes to worse the portable garage can be converted into a bunkhouse lol.

Just a couple pics of walt s handy work for those who didn't attend. The saw file handle is mahogany and the holding wedges are hickory.

Pallet Pete I was glad to meet you but sorry we didn't get a chance to chew the fat more. Next time we'll have to spend more time talking echo saws and the creative use of pallets!:)

Just a couple more. I still have to shrink a bunch of pictures that Eric took.

Picture #1 shows amateur cutter doing his level best to keep that tree from falling. We do have to admit that he was successful in this attempt as the tree is still standing.

Picture #2. Now here is one that would really make some good looking cookies. I was thinking we could cut something like this and place them in the ground like stones and we could use them for one of Judy's paths. What would be the best way to preserve this stuff? I remember talking to someone about it and we thought the polyurethane might do the trick with several coats but what do you think?
