We are expected to get 7 to 10" here. Temp is in the low 20's and expected to drop. Snow has been falling since about 9am. This is the small, light, cold type of snow. Given my propensity for laziness, I feel it is only fitting that I get out the backpack leaf blower and try to just blow this stuff off the driveway and patio. There is only about an inch or two out there now and I have a good stihl blower so we will see how this goes. I'll report back later.
Works good for a couple inches, but 7-10 might be pushing it if you try to do it all at once. I'm lazy with snow. I prefer the solar-thermal method.
If it's not wet snow it shouldn't have an issue. I have blown my whole driveway off before with light fluffy snow and it worked great. By the way my driveway isn't short
By the time I got out there it was closer to 3 inches. My driveway. From the very top to the street is close to 100 yards
About a half hour. Much easier than shoveling. I'll go at it again here one more time before I go to work.
Funny you mention that. This is my second favorite toy next to my chainsaw. It is a beast. When I bought it a few years ago the sales guy told me he was required to advise me something about it exceeding the noise level for the noise ordinance in this ultra liberal county I live in. This only made me want it more. I think I had movement down there when he told me that.
The funny part is, the BR600 isn't near as noisy as it's competition. I love mine and when the snow is light and fluffy, it makes short work of a couple inches on pathways, porches and cars. For heavier snow but in small accumulations, you gotta break out the power sweeps.
Good idea Works great for the light fluffy snow I see car dealerships using them all the time here. I use for the deck, & to clear around doors & tight spots the atv/plow don't fit Even on the wood stacks
