    And finished splitting the Maple I got delivered last year.
    Should be 1/3 cord from the looks of what's on the trailer. Still have another small load of Red, and a little Oak that I got from SisIL's place last year, but that'll have to wait. I'll be calling my guy for another load soon.....I want Ash this time.

    Some was a little knarlier than most Red I've run across, but not bad.
    I had the guy bring rounds instead of splits, so I could split my way. I'm making various sizes and also some kindling with this batch.
    Rounds varied from 14-18".:headbang:

    Not a big fan of red maple. Don't like the smell of it burning. But I have mostly red maple and white pine to pick from on my lot. So it's what I got. There's quite a lot of red maple damage this year and I'm trying to get it before it rots.

    Finished unloading the trailer today.
    Went to the HD and got a few more posts too, so I can fill in the ends with the little bit of Maple and Oak I have.

    I think you and I were competing on who gets to transport like Capt Kirk (Star Trek) to be the first to take a seat and eat some of the delicious meals Pallet Pete makes. I really wish both of us could transport to D's GTG too, as I would like to meet you too friend.
