Save the leftovers for the zombie apocolypse, they'll be valuable then.

And for those that have to take such medication, we've found graham crackers to be one of the best things for loosening the bowels. But for some reason or another it seems the real cheap stuff, like generic grahams, don't work so well. Personally I like the cinnamon grahams and my wife makes a simple frosting so I spread just a light amount on one then put another on top, sort of making a cookie. That takes care of the bowel problems.

90, that's a frigging jug full! When I had a herniated disk they gave me 40 and I still have a 5 year old bottle with 40 pills in it. Last fall I re-tweaked my back and took 2 of the 10 I was given. I do need to dispose of them. Pain is better that that crap.

Yes, but I'm sure there are those that are in such pain they need them, no judgement on my part.

Pain, to some extent, is healthy. It let's us know where our limits are during the healing process....

75% of drug addition starts from prescription drugs. I don't want to start anything, but that is a huge issue brought on my over prescribing. 90 pills. That won't happen here. New laws limit the numbers and no call in scripts for controlled substances. A little weed would do a lot better job. While I don't do weed and don't take prescription pain meds, I can see that the pain meds can create far worse issues than medical weed. .

No offense, but whose the guy that reinjured your incision:whistle:

Sorry to be a downer, dear husband does not respect healing times after throwing out his back and my father is over a dozen hernia/hernia repair surgeries now and they both pay for it. Its so bad for my father that they removed all the mesh patches over the last decades and he can barely lift anything now.

Watch your butt eric, your Mrs and I have tabs on you.......

    All in good fun friend:)

something in my neck "tweeked" earlier in the month. they gave me norco (5mg hydrocodone with 325 mg of "tylenol generic (would take too long to go over to pick up the bottle and spell it out, so I spend 2 times the amount out time typing this out ;) ) ) and and that was barely cutting the pain initially..
I knew enuff to tell the wife to go get some prunes.. (I like them, but they have to be the brand name, not the generics, brand names are much sweeter imo)). would space 4 thruout the day, occasionally 2 at a time... Helped considerably with reducing the constipation...
was able to stop taking the norco after an epiduaral. Still have issues that PT (with traction) is trying to resolve. hoping that surgery is out.

for me, dont want to take the hyrdoocodone (or anything else in that arena) unless I need to. Some pain/discomfortt tells me that I am not healed yet, so take it easy, no pain, whatever i am doing is ok..
another week for followup and see where I go from here..
