Nah, iron wood is a bit far from my area. Most of what I cut is Eucalyptus and I'm no tree watcher but I think mostly yellow box which has a hardness rating of about 3000 which is on the very high side but not anywhere near as high as iron wood. I don't have allot to compare it to but pine feels like cutting butter comparatively Our chains also turn the other way its known as the coriolis effect and can make bucking a challenge.
Thanks to Scotty Overkill and our friend Joe my family got 3 loads of ash like this pays to know a tree slayer.
Nice pics! Looked at them a little closer and decided that had to be in the northeast NV area. Your profile says NV but no town. I live in Elko if you want to go cut some time.
Ash tree I took down yesterday. The truck is not quite loaded. The logs were taken out whole by someone else.
Sweet! Figured there would be too much snow up there yet. Pleasure chatting. Take care of western NV.
Since entering into truck ownership a few months ago, my wife decided we/I could take a turn or several at emptying the bottle donations box, that's $173.45 worth of bottles and cans, in case you were wondering. The $ goes to my daughters HS music program.
