I'll visit Laguna Seca. That's as far south as I'll go. Now, I have done a layover in LA, for a couple of days. But o won't go back to socal otherwise. I lived in Brea, as a child.

My Dad was a "Knights of Columbus" member, I helped work parking at Laguna Seca from the time I was 7 for most of the races. Dad always drug me along and it was very cool in retrospect. I think my last race , I was 16 'cause I had better things to do, I'm sure.
Kenny Roberts (Yamaha) gave me a tour on a pit bike one time. I have other stories about L.S. Good friend of mine is a honcho there.
I grew up even further south.

I honestly remember being happy about the cool breeze, LS gets friggen hot! Didn't do the whole track, just A-B for the pit entry/exit. Got to do the straight in front of the stands. The "S" curve would have been the best though . I was a kid, I didn't care who was driving, it was fun.

 

Love visiting San Francisco and Napa Valley but would never live there. Too crowded and urban, which usually equates to busy rude people.

However when I flew into San Francisco without my wife, there were a lot of guys at the airport that were very friendly...guess they like rugged guys from the midwest.

Back on topic, who can afford that kind of mortgage? I know they are those who have won the lottery, but come on!

I wouldn't miss California if the San Andreas decided to drop it in the ocean. I've never been there, but some of the worst ideas and regulations started there.

 

It's a beautiful state, especially the northern half, including SF.


For bad ideas and regulations, Wisconsin could just as well turn into a bigger lake joining lake Superior and lake Michigan.

 

It really is, there is a lot to see and do, and lots of natural beauty.

No idea regarding that, but there are plenty of bad ideas to go around. DC puts a few out there too

Yeah, surf and ski in the same day and all. I frequent a Cali based forum and many there are contemplating leaving. Quite a few already have. I'm fairly up to date on their politics and the most polite way for me to say it is Hell No! The one and only draw there for me would be the Muir trail.
