Yea, It goes back to a law around the late 40's or 50's where gas was to be believed "Hazardous" and if improperly handled could be dangerous!  "REALLY" took a rocket scientist to figure that one out! I guess some idiot lit a cigarette and killed himself.o_O Also, my other thought here is tax! The more they charge for someone pumping your gas, the more tax revenue the state gets! :headbang:

first time in 9 years we came up short, usually would hide in the 400 eggs range. Bad weather and less kids this year.

Important to note that gas in Jersey is generally much cheaper than the surrounding areas.

A day doesn't go by that you don't see 2 or 3 gas stations explode in all those other states where the general public is allowed to pump their own gas. Oh, wait.

when we were down in Washington or Oregon a couple of years ago, there were no "self serve" gas stations. Reason given was that it provided employment in smaller centers and with more people working at a gas station it was safer for staff.

The down side of having someone pump your gas is, The attendant is carrying cash mostly. I can attest to how many robberies have happened in NJ. When I was a kid, I had a summer job pumping gas, you were an easy target! Now it's convienence stores. With all the ways to pay for gas today, very few use cash and handing your debit or credit card to someone is un nerving. I like pumping my own gas! I have been stationed in many various states and I feel much more comfortable doing it.

with the style of gas pumps we have up here, the gas station attendants rarely leave the store. I like pumping my own because I don't have to hand my credit card over to someone and I can get it done and over with in my time frame not someone elses.

Yeah, it's for all those people that couldn't get enough lead by eating crib paint back then....and didn't want to move to Flint!

Seriously, gas used to contain lead, remember?

Hey N, you will make peace when her time comes, you know you gave her a good life.
Check out this one:) I guess my awesome companion and star hunting dog was about 12-13 y/o at this time, she made it to 15 y/o. Her second to last hunt she was retrieving blue grouse, birds were big and so heavy her lil rear end was tipping up in the air while she brought them back, but she was determined and obviously enjoyed it:faint:.

Her last hunt? I had a business trip in So Colorado. I took our lab mix with me for my trip, WWW kept our brittany. He took her with him to the Colo/Kansas border to his hunt on the way to meet me in Colo Sprgs for New Years Weekend. Wooo Hoooo, she ended getting over 30 quail for all the hunters in WWW's group, no other dogs, hunters appreciated her help, and she had a blast! He said he tried to leave her in the truck at first but could hear her protesting for a long time and finally let her out though he knew she was weary. We lost her the next July. Sad, but I am happy she had such a fun last hunt and I commend you giving you dog what makes her happy:)

Will your new dog be a hunting dog?

Colorado just put a "traction" law into force.
