Hell no they aren't. And my wife has expensive taste. At least I don't have to buy new cabinets. I should be able to reuse mine and build a couple custom ones to match. I'll have some extra doors so it should be pretty easy to get it to look right.

Yeah, my girlfriend has been after me to update cabinets and counter top. Counter top really needs to go, she likes granite-I dont like the price. Cabinets are outdated and builder grade. Granite counter tops isnt really all that bad in price over a good Formica, but to match with granite I would need much better cabinets than I want to spend. Cant cheap out on cabinets of using granite. Once its down, its down.

Granted, I like granite too and really do need to add to the cabinets to gain the more counter space that I do need...but damm this is expensive. Its been an idle project for a year now.

Spent part of the morning doing the bills. Joy. Spent the rest of the morning running errands and then shoveling and cleaning up snow. Joy.

Afternoon was plowing with the Bobcat, that is always fun! Then cleaned up a few things around the house and at camp.

Now relaxing in chair for a bit. Then time to bring wood in.

Heck, I can get the granite at 2500.00; sorta do-able for me...its the addition 5-10K for the freaking cabinets. And then it will be the flooring

It's supposed to be 8 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday for daytime highs, I better call the wife and tell her to burn the Hickory. It's 72 here at the Alamo:p

Can't swing granite or quartz. Was over $5k and I can't stomach it.

Sadly I don't get OT...but we've been saving a while. Tax return will help too.

We went there in October and that is what they call it. Very nice place, I like Texas, but I don't like the heat.

I tried to banish it with taco tonight. I should have added some of my spicy canned chipotles to it.

We did ours last year and it was quite the sticker shock. Granted I did a lot of the work myself but still it wasnt cheap.

Cleaned up the snow in the yard again, lucked out in that the starter on the snow blower had only a frozen start button, ordered a new computer, cleaned out the cat's box, took care of the birds, verified another port on the new TV was operational.
