Looks like a great time!! I've been to quite a few chainsaw gtg's, always lots of fun and good people.
Can't beat that deal! Everybody's getting new saws! I still secretly covet a 562. Don't tell my CS2166 that though.
Heard a coworker mention that a friend was looking to sell some items before moving out of state. Of course my first question was, "Does he have any chainsaws?" To my surprise, the answer was "yes". I'm partial to the orange and white variety, and it just so happened that it was, indeed, a Stihl (a homeowner model, but a Stihl nonetheless). It wouldn't start upon inspection, which lowered the asking price. I took it home and it was running in no time. It never hurts to add another saw to the lineup. Some deals are too good to pass up.
Was gonna take a pic of my other lil girl (echocs450) but too lazy to go to the shed..But she looks nice too as you'd imagine.
Made this contraption up at work today. This will be my main lead for pulling down hung up trees. Chain hookup suitable for tractors rigging and a shackle and hook to connect to the winch on the front of the Buggy.
I just finished putting another cylinder and piston on a Stihl MS460 that I got for free. Put the saw in some wood today and seems to runs really well.
Though I have only ever rebuilt one saw, it was very gratifying getting it back into some wood finished.
I agree. It is pretty cool to take something that someone else destroyed and getting rid of, and making it cut good and reliable again. I never get tired of it.
Well it's not related to wood but the girl got me this for my birthday. I've got enough grass that a decent spreader is needed but not enough to warrant a tow behind. I've used the Scotts before and they suck big time. They are made to be disposable. This one rolls smooth as butter. Of course she got herself this yesterday but you can't haul wood with it.
