    That's a big reason Dad bought a gas rig this time. To replace what he had would have been 60K+ (4x4 LT 2500HD ECLB, basically had all the widgets except for leather seats) and he hardly pulled a tomato plant with that truck. Just drove it over the highway, a lot. And that's nearly 2x what his '03 cost him new.

    Speaking of road treatments.

    People who drive their front wheel drive cars with bald tires in snow and ice, then bitches how bad the roads are. If you want to get around equip your vehicles accordingly. If people spent a few bucks on tires all we would need is plows.....

    Our township is the worst for applying too much salt and antiskid. Sometimes you have to watch you don't slide through an intersection due to the piles of antiskid!! They salted one inch of melting snow this morning.
