Here is my almost 9 yo lab after a 2 hour hunt after not hunting for the last 3-4 years. She's a trooper for sure

image.jpeg She is just waiting to go again. I'm going to be lost when she passes. It may be the last one as I am not a fan of going through the grieving a lost pet.

The brown spots on the asphalt under my DODGE after it rains. That's right, it rusts so bad you can see it turning back into earth....

Yes, but that picture is worth a thousand words.
There are no words to describe the amount of joy my dogs give me

I agree. Mine is snuggled up to me in bed right now. She's so warm on these cold nights. It's only an issue when she starts snoring.

Or that in this age of 21st century engineering, we can't properly account for thermal expansion.

Many vehicles afflicted by this problem, they shear off the studs/bolts that hold the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head. It's not limited to just one make and/or model either. I've seen it one many domestic vehicles, especially trucks/SUVs. And if it's not breaking bolts, the flanges and manifolds warp so bad they create exhaust leaks.

I would love to see a truck built on a frame that won't look like chit after 3-4 Northeast Winters. The shocks on my 2013 look like I transferred the originals off my '89. :loco:

They build things to rot faster now days so it keeps everyone buying new parts and or vehicles or what ever. Look at hockey skates. Cost upwards of 600+ dollars and average kids wear them out in a year. Years ago they would get passed down for years to come. Now they are a throw away item

I grew up with labs and would only have a lab. Just something about them. This one we have now will be 9 in May and at times you would think she's 2. My mil came over today and the dog went nuts like she's never seen anyone in her life and like she never gets attention from anyone.

Dad bought a new truck recently, which broke my heart because I loved his '03 LB7 DirtyMax 2500HD. But it was going to need head gaskets sooner rather than later, trans lines, and parts of the frame were less than trustworthy. You'd never know it to look at it sitting in the driveway but even after putting the $$ into the motor for a "major maint/service" he still would have been facing big $$ repairs to keep it on the road. 13 years old and it's prob destined to donate power train and body parts to another truck. :(

No coffee is the only good coffee.

Someone burned or just had really stank coffee at work today. It smelled up the office badly..

Speaking of which. Burnt popcorn smell at the office. That's nasty.

Dad has my 01 2500hd ccsb and I had to put a head and injectors in it in 04. He loves it but when I first bought it he thought I was crazy for buying a noisy diesel.

The DirtyMax certainly changed how folks saw diesel pickups! I remember being amazed at how quiet they were back in '01. Compared to the PowerStroke and Cummins trucks of the day, they were barely whispering. And what noise they did make was sweet music!
