Just looking to see what everyone has for trailers, wagons, log haulers, etc. looking for some good ideas. Thanks in advance. This is what I'm gonna rebuild. It's 14' long 7' wide. I still use it but it's rusted out bad. Gonna replace all the outer steel and cross members. Frame is heavy duty and in good shape. Also has scissor lift style dump on it that is in good shape and runs off the hydraulics of the tractor. This trailer will haul as many logs as you can fit on it. I only use it behind the tractor to haul full length logs 1/2 mile up the lane and 3/4 mile down a gravel road to my house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don't think I've welcomed you yet so welcome to the forum Wise8706. Can you share what part of MI you are from? Here are my 2 wood haulers. One for wood that is already bucked and one for hauling logs. Both pulled with atv. This is a load of small ash that was down and we just cut into logs. Actually, I broke the dray and will be building a new one. They are pretty cheap to build and except for bolts and such, we just use junk wood to put these together. We may make one using logs with a slab taken off 2 sides after our get-together.
Backwoods I'm located between Lansing and flint. Farm country with some good timber. This is a great site with great people !

Welcome Wise8706 That's all I have is pull behinds. I have the 5 x 10 ft trailer and the little ones Stack em up Roll em up
Great replys everyone! I forgot to add the other smaller trailer we use. This is one of my buddies that we replaced the crossmembers in and has a like "new" dump cylinder on it. Works great but wAAAAAAY To tongue heavy for my half ton pickup. We also have a 16ft tandem axle car hauler with 16" sides we use too. But I don't have pics of that on my phone. Edit: here's a pic of the other trailer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's a car hauler I converted to a wood hauler..lol.. Works well but I don't like beating the snot out of it off road. We've been looking at dump trailers and I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on one soon. Biggest decision there is gooseneck or bumper pull.. Bought a bagger for my tractor last year and the manager threw in the cart for 50 bucks. Someone assembled it wrong and returned it. Thing is fantastic for moving wood around the house..
Thanks, D4 I figured I'm only buying one trailer, and its going to be everything I need and want. If you need anything hauled, let me know. Up to 10,000 pounds any how
Same here, we have been looking at dump trailers also. They would take one less out handling of the firewood. Thinking like a 12'er tandem 7k axles. With scissor lift style dump. There's a place north of me 40 minutes that have a HUGE inventory of dump trailers. I'm scared if I go up there to just "look" I will end up pulling one home.
If we go bumper pull it will be a 12' 12k which is more than enough for what I do. The gooseneck would be 14' 14k just because that's pretty standard. I've resisted pulling one home so far..lol.. My deal from the wife is I have to quit smoking then it's open season. What brands are you looking at? I'm down to 3. Pj, load trail, and sure trac. My current sure trac is a very well made wagon. Liked the dump I looked at as well..
