I am sure there is someone here that likes a nice Cold Snap (or more, Sam Adams version).

not a refurb control board. you send in yours and they fix it and return it. but they did say that it might be extra if the touch pad was bad....which mine is cracked....

so we have a griddle on the stove.. and the grill... and take out!

oh, and then my wife was cleaning up around the stove... you know, the goop that goes down the side.....and broke off the oven clean lever... I'm thinking i don't need that fu$#%^g thing anyway. it started this problem!

Woke up this morning to grass. It started snowing around noon. Still coming down.

Welcome to springtime in northern Michigan. At least it's easy to keep the beer cold.

I had a few choice words for her last night when I wanted to fire up the lump charcoal for burgers and it started pouring. I lit it in the garage (doors open) and luckily by the time the coals were hot, it had stopped and was able to cook outside without smoking the hel l out of the garage. :grizz:

Burning a vacation day tomorrow left over from last year- dont use them, you lose them, but we were so short handed and so busy I couldnt take them....oh and I am the one who keeps track of vacation time and have the authority to bend the rules a bit

Spent the day sampling maple syrup in Vermont and New York today. The winds on rt 7 Vermont made me wish we had the burb instead of the Buick.

Got tosses about like a dinghy on the ocean in some spots. Buster wanted the window down and when we complied it got so much worse.

However -- The Dakin Farms pancake breakfast with Blue Grass music by Bob Degree & Friends made the blow worthwhile.

Gusts to 50MPH the radio said. I believe some may have been worse along the Lake

Always hated those use it or lose it rules. Especially when people sacrificed opportunities to help out a company in need.

We could roll ours BUT could not used rolled time consecutively with "new" time.

The idea is the company wants you to take time and get away. It's good for both parties. But if they dint actually let you use it then there is a problem.

I am using a vacation day today - and this is why I don't use many; it is always cold, regardless of the time of year. Currently 18* and snowing.

It got warm enough to rain for you? Warmest it got here yesterday was 24*. and then with the massive wind, no way was anyone doing anything outside yesterday unless it was an emergency (or milk and bread :bug: )

The rain was Saturday around 6:30 and likely was the cold front because after it passed, you could see your breath....cold and windy Sunday.

Funny, Saturday night around 10, the peeps were out making all kind of noise in the cold....probably all saying WTF !!

Easier said than done when working for a smaller company and being understaffed. Taking time off puts more stress on others and you come back to a mess. A day off generally means I put in a few hours from home to try an mitigate that.

I cant work from home, but yea, I agree on taking time off. With smaller outfits, there tends to be a lack of redundancy in certain jobs, and due to human nature, something that could have been done today tends to get shelved because "gbreda" can do it when he comes back tomorrow..." or somesuch

Funny thing is that what I can do from home on the computer creates more physical work when I return.
