Stinny, that really sucks..............glad they didn't go in and do more damage, or set fire to it. Buddy of mine lost a hunt camp to that kind of nonsense. This is one of the unfortunate things you have to contend with when you have a "rural" property. Some A$$ Holes have no respect for anyone or their property............

Me and the guys can come out and stay for a few weeks (month or two tops) and set up those plastic owls for you....

    Dang jail birds....

Glad it wasn't a real burglar, that wouldn't be fun to go through.

You've mentioned our worst nightmare of course Rotti... trashing the place and/or burning it down. Looks as tho it was a fast moving quick stop bird that did the deed.

My IS heats my home... yep, one of the cops mentioned a game cam too. Might look into them as time goes on... I guess a lot of camp owners use em...

I wondered if it may have been a bird with the nothing missing from the inside issue. That's too bad it happened but good because it could have been worse.

One company I worked for installed a new furnace in a woman's house and she called up a few weeks later claiming that it made a loud bang this morning! Boss dropped everything and ran right out there...here a partridge had flown into her picture window (bang) which was in the room above the furnace! The window was OK...the partridge was not.

I like the shutters idea. Might prevent more jail birds. windows are a magnet for birds.

I also am more than willing to guard, and stand in as scarecrow at your cabin. Many have said I'd make a damm fine scarecrow. Put me down for the first week of July, and oh well, i'll sacrifice, put me down for the first week of deer season as well!

I suspected a bird from the beginning. Our neighbor recently had a turkey fly through his garage door window, and how it fit I dont know! X 2.... wake up call....... shutters and a game camera just in case. Good luck, glad it was only a bird and not a human.
