Smart cat. Those darn squirrels bite! We had an outdoor cat that used to catch woodcock, rabbits, squirrels etc. But he got old and then only went for red squirrels and chipmonks. No more outdoors cats now. Area is now full of predators.

I just noticed this. Any ideas? This is Blondies stomach. The one thing that looks a bit like a puncture is actually a nipple, illusion on the photo. But what about the red spots? I wonder if she caught ring worm at the vet for her dental on feb 23?

Sure don't know anything about what it could be but the only thing I want to say is the vet clinics/exam rooms I've been in are despicable for cleanliness. I can understand just how something would be easily passed on to the next pet.

    Sorry.

Looks very suspicious doesn't it. You can try miconazole and see if that helps. You don't want her spreading it around. This highly contagious infection, can spread to other animals and to humans. Might need the crown of shame to keep her away from it. Tell little one to wash her hand every time she has contact with your pet. you will want to continue the rx even after you can't see it, at least for a few days. Wash the dogs bedding frequently. Sorry!

This is where I am stumped Larry, not sure how long it has been there, I just noticed today, but no licking or scratching at all that I have seen. My Dear Father suggested maybe the red ants got on her and bit her, even *if* the ants are already out, I would assume the dog would be licking and scratching ant bites too?

I just bought a tiny aquarium with blue led lights, any idea if that would work like the "blue light" for fungus (ring worm too) t00?

Lost on that with the lights. It could be bites. Count them, and take pictures to compare. If it is fungus and you wait to treat it, you all might get contaminated. Don't use a steroid on it. I have been told that steroids just feed the fungus. I might consider the anti fungal. wear disposable groves and put it on so thin you can't see it. That is one case where more is not better.

Larry, I have been shopping Amazon for that and finding alot versions of that for another reason for human females. Suppose I could use one of those instead? They are less expensive and more selection of Amazon Prime shipping. Thanks!

Neat deal, guess the dogs are trained to go potty when we open the foot lock door on the sliding glass door (its on a spring and makes pop noise when opened). Blackie woke me up to go potty, Blondie heard the lock pop noise and went potty too. No idea why they have to go this time of night, but better than the alternative:) Still a PITA in the middle of the night.

Bentley is blowing his winter coat off. :( It's freaking ridiculous. I can't pet him without getting a handful. Piles of it in his crate this week too.

Out comes the furminator today, followed by a blow out with the br600 :)

Looks more like bites, thorns or some other type of contact dermatitis to me. What are you using for flea and tick protection? Just a thought. Is it flaky on the surface with a raised red edge and paler center. That's classic ringworm / tinea.
You can Google image search for "ringworm" or "tinea". Believe it or not, vets often prescribe a combination antifungal, antibiotic and corticosteroid cream. Kind of a shotgun but seems to work, even though you theoretical don't want to give steroids to a fungal infection. Go figure.

Thanks Mike!! I googled, and it does not appear to be ringworm. I used some neosporin on it last night and they have faded a bit today. I am wondering if the two dogs were horseplaying the back yard (no yard, just dirt and rocks from a new septic system last fall) and those spots might be bruises? Smaller Blackie dominates her:loco:  and takes her down, in play of course, no aggression.

    Are dandelions safe for dogs?

They are starting to pop up already and you know who found 2 of them delicious. :chef: woof!

Here is a pic of Frappy in a plycraft that he is way too big for.

Believe it or not, I along with my other dog were all in this chair with him just prior. It was extremely uncomfortable (for me, they were loving it).

And apparently Sluggo had a baby. Meet sluggito.. Hes got his fathers ears, or whatever those things are. He may look big in the pic but is only about 1/2 inch long. so adorable.

Each to his own I guess. will you have to put up baby gates to keep him contained and out of mischief?

Nope, after this week it sounds like the ficus tree can go outside. He and his family will be released into the wild once again!

Just make sure you get a tube of it. Should all be about the same.
