Pipes & tobacco? Highly recommended! Relaxing by the fire having a smoke right now. I have PAD as well as CAD.
WOW! That is impressive! I'll have to get a shot of my humidor to post, and my pipe tobacco get up.... I have cool pipe tobacco holder in the shape of a giant pipe. But nothing as impressive as that museum! .
I have been buying 2nds and overruns for a little while and have found some that I enjoy. Anyone else have favorites of these categories that they are willing to share?

Just got back from a ride with an old (and I mean that) H.S. buddy. Took a drive to the cottage and enjoyed a couple cigars along the way. Mine was an arturo feuente=got two from my daughter for Christmas. I gave him a 5 vegas gold and also a couple nestor miranda that he really liked!
Yooperdave, for me it's cigars mostly in summer and the months when I can be outdoors. I guess that's because they are too strong in aroma to smoke indoors. This time of year it's pipes for me, and there are plenty of good blends to be had.
Have you tried "lane 1 Q"? It is a very aromatic Cavendish. Back in the late 80's was my first try and I really liked it. Every now and then, I'll try some again, but it usually dries out before I use it all.
Probably 30 years ago I had 1Q. Very sweet vanilla flavor and aroma. I think it's the most popular tobacco anywhere. Mostly, I smoke English blends now. I do occasionally do aromatics, especially around Christmas. Two this year that are very good are Cult Conspiracy and McClelland's Holiday spirit. Awesome room note from either one.
I usually smoke a pipe and have one made from a Elk horn that my brother in law shot. It took a little while to break it in but now smokes like a dream. I am also a Arturo Fuente man and will have one out at the Bunk House Bar and grill. It is outside the city limits and so no smoking restrictions.
I finally tried my first arturo fuente back in Dec. and had that Aunt Jemima moment..."What took you so long?"
Today, I ordered some La Aurora overruns. Been meaning to try them for a couple of months and the price/shipping combo was right. I was told that they will be discontinued....kinda hope I don't like 'em knowing that!
Dried pipe tobacco is very easy to bring back. Spread over a plate and using a spray bottle dampen it with distilled water. Let it sit for an hour and the pack a bowl. Works every time.
I've been smoking nothing but Padron's lately. Love them, but they are pricey, especially in the local sops. I'm trying to find a good source for them. The 4000 in particular....
