Do you have hens or buy those eggs from a farmer? Never seen that from eggs bought at the store. Did have a few when we had our own birds.

That figures. I love local eggs, but they are not easy to get around here. Everyone I know who has hens, always uses up what they have or they have others all lined up to take any extras. I want to get about 6 birds, but the wife is not in favor of me having them again.

Okay, WeldrDave. Get your book out and tell me what this thing is worth. Not that I would ever sell it, but I think $30 is a good garage sale find.

We've had it for a few years now. I can't deny, it is pretty amazing.

We're looking to switch to natural gas here, and I have my eye on a couple of Craigslist ranges with center burners. The POS here isn't worth spending for a conversion kit. The broiler doesn't work and you have to light the burners with a match, and since that griddle doesn't get hot enough in the middle to cook anything, a center burner is a priority.

I picked up 2 pans today from older family. 1 is I think a vintage W.K.M. 8" camp pan and a 12" griswold. The bottom of the gris is really caked with chit, and has a crack in the wall of the pan. Pics when I get home with em

WeldrDave I have 2 options. I can blast in the blast cabinet or do the electro bath. I have a charger but don't have a clue what to do. Tub water with baking powder? A battery charger with the ends in the water?

    The 8" in great shape

The gris- caked on the bottom and the last pic shows the crack. Will oil and baking seal it up after a few tries, or only a wall hanger?

First, Try some easy off oven cleaner and put it a Tupperware container that will fit it or a trash bag. I get the cheap plastic containers from the dollar store. Soak it down and let it sit for a couple days, then repeat. It'll come off if your not in a hurry!

I got three pans with cracks WS, they make good wall hangers though. Sand or bead blast them and put a coat of rustoleum enamel flat black on them, they look great then!

Will blast it today, then run it through an accelerated process (same chit we do for Dale Ernhart racing)
