This wasn't getting many views over in the Sawyer Room... But it's one of the coolest things I've ever done with a chainsaw, so I'm shamelessly re-posting it here. :D Tree Monkey'd MS880 vs 4' diameter Black Walnut. 60" bar, 172DL chain; cut was 50" wide.

What's this? A chainsaw sitting on a cabinetmaker's bench? ;) Well when you have a small shop & its dark, cold & rainy outside you do what works....

Homie 350 - Sold from 1975-76,this predecessor to the much more common & still sought after Model 360 is a strong running mid sized workhorse,3.5 cubic inch/57cc powerhead.Very clean for a 40 year old saw...

Check out that original 20" Homelite branded Windsor sprocket nose bar...very low hours on this. Also the clutch cover with side adjust for chain tensioning.... See Husqvarna & Stihl weren't the first to come up with the idea, bad thing Homelite didn't patent it unfortunately.

20160411_100554.jpg One of my truck saws. I strap it to the trailer and use it as a truck saw at the farm so I don't beat on my better saws.

That stihl is my uncles 026 he brought up there for me to get running. It's just along for the ride.

This was the tree that it tackled right before the previous pic was taken. You can see the bottom section of it in the front of the truck bed in the previous pic. 20160410_181100.jpg

    Here is the before shot.

There was a bush hog involved before this after shot was taken though Screenshot_2016-04-14-01-16-45.png I got it. But I had to screen capture my own picture then upload that? Maybe it was too big a file?
