    I can't say that I have ever cut anything that looks like that, but it sure is a very pretty wood.

    It looks to me like a slow-grown black birch. Does it have a strong wintergreen smell?

    No, no Wintergreen smell. Not much of a smell to it, kind of smells like oak but it is piled in with a bunch of red oak.
    Whatever it is it is definitely harder than the red oak I was cutting

    Sap wood says mulberry, Heartwood says locust, my brain says confused lol.

    I turned the brightness up on my phone and the color of the sap wood isn't quite on par with mulbery. I can't wait to learn what it is.
