Cut a little bit of everything today. Started out with a elm leaner. Was surprised that it split easily with the x27. Then bucked up a white oak deadfall that I've had my eye on for a while. Swung the axe as hard as I could and it just bounced off! I guess I'll be getting the hydro's out next weekend. Finished the day off with some deadfall cherry and a wind damaged soft maple. What a great weekend! Can't wait till next weekend to do it all over again.

I had some family over for Easter, got the same thing as usual when they looked out at my 20 something cords......."think ya got enough wood?" Nope, gonna cut some more....

Exact same answer I give. Have to squeeze the wood cutting in between the honey do's. Or visa versa.

Nice job! That's a good size red elm... White oak and Elm are two of my favorites.

I feel like if I just had a week or two to spend on nothing but wood, I could get to that magical place where all my stacks are full. When you've only got the weekends, it takes a while to add up.
