    You'd like it a lot more without the feedback you feel in the pedal I'm sure. It's one system that's well worth the extra complexity but long-time drivers don't like all the buzzing and carrying on that happens when the wheels approach lock-up.

    I don't mind ABS, but every time my truck gets a little bit sideways it gets all kinds of mad....then I get mad.

    Got the garage door fixed...until it breaks again, that is. The spring slipped off the "hub" that you tighten on to the rod (if that makes any sense). I'm not sure what would cause that. If it slips again I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy 2 new springs.

    I had the cable slip off the hub this winter. It is a torsion spring type door, sounds like the one you have is a spring alongside both tracks?
    I think both of those springs should be replaced at the same time, no?

    No...it is a torsion spring...there are 2 mounted overhead.

    Had one of those days. went in on OT to change a card out ~6am should have been a 1hr gig didn't get it straightened out until ~1400:headbang:

    Then had to sit in on letting a guy go...those meetings suck no matter the circumstances

    It's been proven that even old tech abs systems can stop you quicker than even the best trained pro race drivers can with no abs.

    I get it though, I want a direct link from me to the car too. Some cars, like the Nissan GTR are so computerized that they are numb and soul less. Other cars have it figured out better and involves the driver better. It's a car, not a video game.

    I've never seen an Austin Healy that wasn't a convertible. I dug around on the internet after I thought about it, and I didn't see any hardtops either.

    Dear Father drove from New York back to Colorado after finishing a tour in Viet Nam in 1964. He may have mentioned it was a convertible.... but I don't remember. No details anymore......Except when I was young he said that he drove a very nice pretty gal from there to here and they had a nice journey. I still think it's a very cool story.

    There is a hard top that was available, but it was a top, that went over the original convertible body. So, like a modern miata, all are convertibles, but you could get a hard top that goes over for winter. It's still a convertible though.

    No doubt it is operator error and me fixed in my ways. I am not sure I will ever learn to appreciate ABS :eek: I am sure I would not have bumped the fawn in 2008 if I were in my old Blazer vs my brand new suv. Thankfully that lil deer ran away and did not wobble.

    I had another thing in that same suv, it was some kind of stability control thing like ESP? My 2005 truck has alot of stuff too, but I get along much better with it. :rofl: :lol: Probably because I am such a slow cautious driver now:rolleyes:

    Family is all landing here around noon for a little Easter chaos... :rootintootin:... egg hunt, grandsons running around, 2 big huskies chasing Giz, Sandy peaking out of the bedroom door:hair: then sprinting back to her crate... our 2 kids and their honey's... should be a lotta fun... :D

    To my knowledge there were no production H/T's. There were a couple of specially built factory backed race cars. There was a take-off hard top for the production cars but very limited.
